Nazarbayev University representatives held a series of national meetings with partners in Central Asian countries to examine the situation with educational programs in the field of treatment and rehabilitation of people with drug use disorders.
Nazarbayev University is CADAP Programme contractor and supports government agencies in developing a new educational programmes in the field of rehabilitation and reintegration of people with substance use disorders.
During the assessment mission, round tables and individual meetings were held with the participation of government officials, representatives of relevant ministries, representatives of medical universities, international organizations and agencies, NGO representatives and local experts. Ideas and opinions of authorities, experts and people involved in treatment and rehabilitation were collected, and existing educational programs covering drug addiction treatment and rehabilitation services were reviewed.
